Ah, I love these cake toppers:

What's that you say? Not geeky enough. Alright, try these on for side:

Secret agent robots?!

Super cute, though now that I think about it do you want to bring the possible robot apocalypse into your wedding day?

I'm just saying...

Not Quite Sure That's Why I'm Doing It...

Inside: Hello to becoming the Mrs.

Perhaps not the most romantic explanation as to why you would get engaged, but still pretty great. I especially the simplicity of it.

This, and many more, available at Naughty Betty.

12 Too Many

12toomany.blogspot.com is a site specifically designed for anyone who recently through a party and has a few leftover items they just don't need anyone.

It's a little bare right now but I'll be keeping my eyes open for anything cool for the reception.

Kissing Menu

So, according to all bride and grooms I've yet seen, the whole clinking your glass to get them to kiss apparently gets old before the end of the evening. The cure? A kissing menu!

I found this on Happy Hour Bride and it is basically a list of silly things your guests need to do in order to get you to kiss you new spouse.

I kind of love this. Minus the congo list.

That's a Sweet Cake

Cool right? Instructions and more pictures on Omnomicon.

You have to admit, if our beautiful multi-layered white cake were cut open to reveal a rainbow, it'd be pretty cool...

My Shoes Do, Too

So originally I wanted red soles on my wedding shoes, but these "I Do" rhinestones might be just as good.

It's actually blue as well and meant to be stuck right on the bottom of your special day shoes.

Available at the Classy Bride.

Awesome. Period.

I don't know whether to post on this or run right out and buy it for my future husband:

Yep, coordinating First Family pillow cases. From a collaboration between Calvin Klein, artist Jonathan Horowitz and the Art Production Fund, the fund, produced Horowitz’s Pillow Talk Cases, featuring rotating pairs of white Calvin Klein pillowcases silk-screened with names of über-famous couples.

Really?

Starting in April, you can have your fantasy Shakespearean wedding.

There is an adorable balcony in Verona Italy that is rumored to be the very same balcony from Romeo and Juliet. Lack of solid evidence aside, the balcony is located on the second floor of the supposed 14th-century Casa di Giulietta which Italian folklore claims was the home of the Renaissance-era Cappellos who were supposedly the family portrayed in William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet as the Capulets.

I can say from experience that the courtyard outside the balcony is usually chock full of tourists (not to mention a statue of Juliette rumored to bring luck to one's love life) and, well, not very romantic. You have always been able to pay a small fee to walk out onto the balcony for a quick glance or peck, but in April you can get married on the balcony for a fee of 1,000 euros (or $1,300 US). This payment will ensure you rental of the house (and balcony) for a wedding, but judging by the size of the balcony, I have to assume the ceremony itself will be performed inside the home.

Now I'm not a big fan of R&J but does anyone really think its a good idea to emulate this couple on their wedding day? Not sure if you made it to the end, but, uh, it didn't really work out.

Custom Papel Picado Banner

Love it!

Available via Casa Bonampak, Mexican paper cut outs personalized with your names and the date of the wedding. All I'm saying is they have a horseshoe and that sounds Texan to me...

I Do Need a Past Bowl...

From Rust Designs, a new bowl featuring a birch tree graphic with your initials "carved" into the tree. Complete with a platinum rim and personalized heart in the center.

Featuring 14K gold or real platinum rim. The 9" diameter bowl is large enough to hold a side dish, perfect for special meals or dramatic displays.

Sure, the Girl Scout in me is against carving into trees, but the rest of me thinks this is adorable.

Mmmmm... Lingerie

Just thought I'd share, Trousseau is a super cute store in the DC metro area.

Popped in today to look for some undergarments for the big day and, while there is a bit of overdone wedding ridiculousness there is also quite a lot of beautiful slips, robes, etc. The salespeople were very nice and very responsive.

Be aware, you can not make returns for anything other than store credit but when I explained that I was purchasing in order to try on my gown, they encouraged me to return if anything did not work (tag attached) to trade out.

Penguin + Wedding = Awesome

I think they really missed the boat by not ensuring the penguins all had bow ties, but still a very cute way to toast the happy couple.

The set is by HeyItsRedd and is available on Etsy.
